Thanks for doing the trailer music, it’s looking and sounding awesome! It’s the best one we’ve had, getting original music has really elevated it.
— RACHAEL LOUGHLAN (FILM AFRICA FESTIVAL PRODUCER)
Once again, you have knocked this out of the park....I have very few words other than that I love it!
— Josh Szweda (Motus Music Production Manager)
Absolutely love it! Great production as usual...a very hard yes, I would love to publish this album.
— Mark Turner (Wrong Planet Music)

Michael Berrich is a professional musician and composer based in Glasgow, Scotland with over twenty years experience working in the music industry. He trained at the University of Strathclyde and graduated in 2004 with an honours degree in Applied Music. Since then he has toured the world, recorded and performed as a session player for many years. Michael is the lead guitarist for the award-winning group Federation of the Disco Pimp who won 'Best Musical Group' in 2017 and 'Best Live Performance' in 2016 at the Sunday Herald Culture Awards.  They were the house band on BBC One ‘Tonight at the Games’ during the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and have collaborated extensively with multi Grammy-nominated Brooklyn-based producer Joel Hamilton (Black Keys/Mos Def).

When not performing Michael composes music for film, TV and sync. His score for the short film Robert Noble, the end of a chapter, directed by Liam Dickson, is almost entirely composed using sounds captured from the mill machinery. This technique using found sound will be expanded further on his next score for the 2024 project - Scotland ReDistilled. Other notable projects include scoring the music and composing the ident theme for the Film Africa Festival trailer in 2016. This was shown around theatres in London during the two week duration of the festival.

Michael also writes for boutique production music labels such as Wrong Planet Music, Gargantuan Music and Twisted Jukebox. His music is synced worldwide with regular TV placements on BBC, Netflix and Channel 4 as well as international broadcasters.
